Of Christians & Jews

Let's look at Galatians and the promises of God concerning Israel:

  • There is neither Jew nor Greek; . . . for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Galatians 3:28-29).
  • Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (Psalms 122:6)
  • Yes, it has been their good pleasure; and they are in their debt. For if the Gentiles have had a part in the things of the Spirit which were theirs, it is right for them, in the same way, to give them help in the things of the flesh. (John 4:22)
  • Read the whole chapter of Romans 11
So no matter if the Jews in Israel is from the branch of Abraham or not, we who are in Christ should not be different from the Messianic Jews for we now all are in Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.

Whatever the case it might be, the state of Israel is already established as predicted by the word of God during the End of Days. No matter what kind of Jews we have in the state of Israel, one thing is for sure. Unless they call out to Jesus as their saviour, Jesus would not save Israel. So it is the same with us Gentiles.

Remember that Jesus calls himself the Son of Man. It is no matter if the Askenazi Jews are not from Abraham's branch, they are still God's children as we all are since all came from Adam.
Let me put this very clearly. Even if the Jews is not the Jews according to the branch of Abraham, they are still part of Israel whether we like it or not. Since God already rebuild Jerusalem out of a very unlikely of circumstances (2 Millenia of history and yet their culture survives), then whoever is in Jerusalem is according to God's will as well. The book is very clear on this, we will prosper if we are to love Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and since some of the Jews in Jerusalem are also from the branch of Abraham then if we are to curse Jerusalem, then we are in the danger of being cursed by God (Genesis 12:3 and 27:29).

So let us be clear in this. It is not God's will to put down Jerusalem for we are obliged to pray and help her since we already have enjoyed God's goodness and grace through His son. Even Paul, he himself a jew, recognise that by accepting Jesus, we will be blessed so much by our salvation, that it will provoke jealousy by the Jews.

We must also understand one more thing. The rites of the Jews, is the foreshadow of the work of Christ so it cannot and should not be said that Jewish belief is nonsense for that nonsense points to the work of Christ. So right now the Jews are holding on to the shadow of the real thing whereas we already obtain the true essence of their rites. So to appreciate their rites, we can appreciate the true meaning of Jesus sacrifice on the cross.

Let us pray and bless Jerusalem so that jealousy will be provoked, so that they will understand, that our blessings is from God and from their saviour.

Be Blessed, Go into His Peace and Have Shalom Peace
